Friday
was sequal night at GrantzPlace and we
watch Indy One Treasure Two and Furure
Three. But seriously National Treasure One
& Two are both excellent Adventure
Films and Well worth a look as PG action
films are few and far between.

Movies
with Children in so School of Rock
was enjoyed by all and Jumanji will
Robin Williams was well worth watching and
we finished off with a powerful true story
about a teaher and her students
struggleing with life in L.A. called
Freedom Writers.

Last
Week we watched.
|
Pursuit
of Happiness with Will Smith as the
Father & his son Jaden. It is the True
Story of Chris xxx and his life struggle
to make it on wall street. We also Viewed
Frequency with Dennis Quiad as the
Father & Jim Caviezel as his son in a
powerful FDNY & NYPD drama set 30
years apart. Give it a look you will not
be dissapointed.

Week we saw.

Lost
in Space, there were lots of camios by
the origional stars of the TV Show but
this film was much more gritty and fun to
watch. Matt La Blanc (friends) was
scarstic as Don West, William Hurt
was the dad Mimi Rogers was Mrs
Robinson. Heather Graham and
Lacey Chabert were Judy & Penny
and Jack Johnson was great as
"Warning Will Robinson" and Gary
Oldman was the evil Dr
Smith.

Blues Brothers is a classic oldie
starring the late John Belushi and Dan
Ackroyd as Jake & Elwood Blues. It
protrays them as the creators of a great
R&B band and this excuse for a car
chase is punchuated with wonderful camio
performances by James Brown, John Lee
Hooker, Aretha Franklin, Cab Calloway and
Ray Charles. Other guests include John
Candy, Carrie Fisher, Henry Gibson,
Twiggy, Frank OZ and Stephen Spielberg. If
you can put up with the language and the
shattering of the 3rd commandment watch
this again soon. GB

Reeves as the Fabulous Footsteps
Falco. When the NFL goes on Strike,
McGinty (Gene Hackman) puts
together a team of Replacement players
with a bunch of misfits. This movie has
great music including 'I Will Survive',
cool comments from Madden & Summeral
in the box and Annabelle (Brooke
Langton) as the beautiful Cheerleader
who wins Shane's heart. If you love footy
then take this DVD out for a spin and
you'll have a good laugh and see some
pretty good gridiron action. GB

Adam Sandler fan but Drew is
wonderful as forgetful Lucy Whitmore in
50 First Dates and Henry Roth is a
womanizer who changes his ways when he
falls for the girl at the 'hukilau.' But
she has a small problem that He has to
overcome EveryDay!!!! and the Beach Boys
song - Woundn't It Be Nice features well
in this wonderful Love

Favourite movies are Hitch & a
Knights Tale. They have Good Music,
Great Action and an Excellent Story. The
late Heath Ledger gives a terrific
performance as William Tatcher, the music
by Queen is dynamic and the stunts are
amazing. Hitch open with Sam Cooks
Wonderful World and Will Smith
telling Guys how to wooo women. Eva
Mendez is wonderful as gossip
colomnist Sara Melas. GB

Night on the Town, my Favourite movie,
stars Elisabeth Shue as The
Adventurious Babysitting, Chris
Parker,"I'll guard her with my life."
She's forced to take the Kids into the
city to rescue her friend Brenda from the
Bus station. Their Exploits are
chronicled, in the improvised 'Babysitting
Blues" song, in the Silver Dollar Club
cause 'nobody leaves this place without
singing the blues'. This film has great
songs, good acting and a tight
storyline.

in the car and run him over."

Raising
Helen stars Kate Hudson and is
a great little movie about what happens
when her sister and brother in law are
killed in a car wreck and She is chosen to
Raise her nieces and nephew. It's a funny,
moving film with a great cast. Hayden
Panattiere of (Racing Stripes &
Titans), Little Miss Sunshine herself
Abigail Breslin (soon of Nims
Island) and her brother Spencer,
from (The Kid and Cat'n Hat.).
