The
sociologists and the media define Baby Boomers as
those born between (and including) 1946 and 1964.
They are the children of people who were married
after World War II, or the children of those
married prior to or during the war but had withheld
starting their families until the conflict was
over. Without them, Australia's population would
not have doubled during the last forty years of the
20th century.
These
pages reflect the lives and times of Australia's
Baby Boomers. Following the Biblical reference to a
generation as being a forty year period, these
pages cover the first forty years of the Baby
Boomers generation - 1946 to 1985. This period also
covers at least the first 21 years in the lives of
all Baby Boomers.
